D & J's owners, Jr. & Maggie Pimpare, have been in business since 1973. They started in the car repair business as Jr. Foreign Car. In 1994 D&J Portable Buildings was formed, manufacturing custom made portable buildings. The business was expanded in 1997 to include the stove shop D&J Home and Hearth. We started with Harman stoves, and then Vermont Casting was added. In July 2008 the Regency and Vistaflame stove lines were added. D & J Home and Hearth now has a complete line of stoves from pellet burning - the # 1 seller, to gas, wood, electric, corn and coal burning stoves. We sell wood pellet furnaces, wood pellet boilers, wood pellet fireplaces, and gas and electric fireplaces. Accessories include ICC pellet stove pipe, wood stove pipe, and several brands of wood pellet fuel. Other products now include THE BIG GREEN EGG cooker and Vermont Casting signature series grills. We carry 100% natural lump charcoal and Vermont casting grill accessories. Daughter and son-in-law Wendy & Bob Violette have been with D & J Home & Hearth for years now. Son Wayne Pimpare and friend Danny Hodgkins have joined in the family business. Based in Sanford, Maine, D & J Home & Hearth prides itself on being a family run business with attention to detail. The business is constantly striving to help customers choose the right stove or fireplace.
