Went to Family Eye Care after my previous eye doctor retired, but have now moved to another dr. due to the quality of service provided. First visit went like this: Complete eye exam, chose new glasses, received glasses a week later and lenses were chipped, waited a week for new glasses to be made, had to wear the new, undamaged glasses a week to prove I "gave them a shot", then received a second eye exam, (glasses were incorrect), and another week wait for the "corrected" glasses to be made. Finally received the accurate glasses and they were fine this time...finally. Recently went in for another checkup, (a few years since the last one), and the process started all over again, exactly the same way. Stopped it at going in for the second eye exam this time and asked for a refund instead, (over $500), and was told they only write refunds at the end of each month and would have to wait until then for the check to be mailed to me. I paid in full the day of my first eye exam, but I have to wait a month to get my money back? The office staff at Family Eye Care could use a few lessons in customer service, but the optical staff were pleasant...just not enough to keep me there. All in all, Dr Sikes is a nice person and they did issue me the full refund, but I can not recommend this eye care facility. I have been wearing glasses for decades and things can happen once, but twice in a row, there are issues that should be addressed.
