She and her husband could not even afford health care a few years ago and are trying to set an example; Her ex homeless sister is there too.......



What a farce!



I wish the Catholic Church could verify her behavior and make her HOMELESS along with her husband and sister!

I totally agree with everything that Amy Anne Fulton said! This was the worst place I've ever stayed at during my homeless journey! They (Melissa, Leah & Dwight) are the worst representation of the "Catholic" organization that I've even seen. The ones that volunteer to feed us every night are so humble and Christ like that it makes you feel there is a lot of "good" in the world that doesn't get reported, but there is a flip side to this house.

Melissa is a bully and evil! She doesn’t speak and never has anything encouraging or positive to say! Leah has issues. In the storming rain, she kicked out a mentally ill mother & daughter, right back into the streets. She also kicked out an elderly lady in her 60’s. These are real “Christ” like actions huh? They love to get in your face and threaten you. One day they will meet their match. I’m already fighting a “homeless” battle; I didn’t have the energy to talk to grown women who obviously care more about their dogs and cats, then the people that stay there. Dwight cusses and talks like he doesn’t even believe in God or Christ. They all “get off” on control!

There are two mentally ill people there who are not getting ANY treatment. This place needs to be investigated because the people that stay there are so scared of being on the streets, that they just sit there and take the abuse. Curfew is at 5:30 p.m. You can’t talk; never watch television, lights out, etc. at 8:00 p.m. sharp! They won’t even let you have access to the internet even though they could share their “access code”. Everything they tell us that we can’t do, they do – right in our face! This place needs to be shut down and investigated. I feel sorry for those who are still there; nobody deserves to be treated that way – no matter what their circumstance is. There is no “spirit of Christ” in that place on display except when the volunteers come and some of those who stay there, but NOT in those who are in charge.

The place was wonderful,food great most of the people that were there wear great. When it came to the people that ran it They were not God fearing people. Layla was one of the most awful people I ever met. Melissa was low life. They all swore used the F--- word all the time and took all the donations that were given for us.Control Freak that who layla was and is. They use the catholic credit for anything they wanted. I am coming back to CA in the future.They kept a blanket of mine and a jacket. That is what they call CATHOLIC WORKERS. They should be running a prison.
