Our 1885 Store "The Jabberwocky Building" in Tustin was 80% destroyed in a fire on December 15, 2012. Our family felt that the only resolution was to have it bulldozed and collect the meager insurance coverage. Nathan Menard was on the scene when it burned and implored us not to tear it down until he had a chance to talk to us. The next day, he appeared with drawings of new elevations, a plot plan and method for retaining and restoring the unburned facade of the building.
He held our hands through the entire process of permitting and restoring the building. The quality of his work and reasonable fees were unbelievable, "Field Changes," of which there were probably close to a hundred, were never a problem, usually with revised drawings provided the next day.
