Slutzky is a fine doctor. However, he hires out his billing to a Mr. Pabst, whom is incredibly difficult to get a response from and is seemingly disinterested and unwilling to provide information regarding the charges listed on invoices. I sent inquiries to Pabst regarding the invoices in early November. No response. In late February I received another invoice with another finance charge and a notice that the account would be sent to collections come March 1st. I followed up with emails every day starting mid February and throughout March. Slutzky was CC'd on all the emails. I left a voicemail; no response. Aside from prompting Pabst, Slutzky made no effort to take matters into his own hands. In the end, I decided to pay the charges even though I'm not convinced that I received the services. All of this trouble for a measly $30 (sans the finance charges). A horrible experience.

I was the victim of an assault, but after grappling with the experience for quite awhile, I decided to head to a psychiatrist for a little couch time in the hopes of gaining a new and better perspective. First, let me say Dr. Slutzky is not your typical pompous doctor in a stuffed shirt -- oooooh no! The first time I saw him, I nearly burst out laughing... he looked like he had just woken up; his hair and clothing somewhat dissheveled and he was barefoot. But then I deduced this very casual manner of dress is his schtick! A well-dressed psychiatrist in a suit would make the patient (at least myself) uncomfortable. Anyway, I digress... Dr. Slutzky helped me through a difficult time and wasn't at all pushy with medications. He has a wonderful sense of humor which allows his patients to open up enough to trust him. After several "tune-ups", I felt I was able to face the world again. I was back to my old (but better) self and had a spring in my step. It's been a number of years since I last saw Dr. Slutzky, but I highly recommend him.
