We purchased a living room set. Brought it home. opened it up and found there was a tear on the love couch. It was not a good experience bringing it back to replace it. A lot a poor customer service. It was eventually replaced but when we went back to pick it up and asked to have it unwrapped to inspect it the staff was very unprofessional and made the experience horrible. It is too bad Santa Barbara does not have more to offer in furniture sales but next time it might be worth it to drive down to Venture and not deal with drama.

There are very few places to buy good quality, reasonably priced furniture that isn't huge in Santa Barbara. At Timbuktu we were so pleased to find a comfortable sofa we liked and were able to have it made in a fabric of our choice. It was made in Los Angeles and only took abut 6 weeks. The service was outstanding and everyone there was helpful. Their chairs are up on shelves, but they are very happy to take down anything you want so you can try them. Last week we purchased an occasional chair and were lucky enough to find one we liked in the store and took it home that very day. The outside of the store with the huge pink chair in front looks a little unusual, but don't let that influence you. Go inside and look around. They also have catalogs from which you can order.
