Aikido of Santa Cruz is a beautiful, friendly dojo that has classes for all levels of Aikido training. Children ages 6 through teen have their own programs, and there are regular beginning classes for adults, as well as classes every day for ongoing adult training. The atmosphere is welcoming, and there is a really nice mix of serious martial arts study and having fun on the mat. Since Aikido is a non-competitive martial art, with its focus on harmonious resolution to conflict and personal spiritual growth, the classes are accessible to all types of people and each student can choose their level of intensity. This dojo has a large community, so there are numerous teachers and students to find your comfort level with.
