She delivered my baby and has been an amazing doctor

So, today, October 17, 2011 I go in for my anuual visit and am told that because I did not bring in my insurance card I MAY NOT be seen by Dr. Thorner! I had to take time off work, drive over from San Jose at 2:00--to find out that I cannot be seen....unbelieveable! I offer to fax a copy as soon as I get home.. NO. Pay cash? NO . Dr. Thorner has been my gynochologist for over 10 years....I have NOT changed insurance companies....still Blue Cross.... but they cannot find it in their computer. Enough to make me understand that my medical care is NOt as important to my doctor as is the DOLLAR!!! As much as I have enjoyed my visits in the past, this hassle and subsequent refusal of my visit prompts me to want an immediate change of Doctors. I felt like Julia Roberts in "Pretty Woman", "I have all this money and nobody would help me." When I drove home after being turned away, I called their office and asked if perhaps the receptionist made a mistake. No, Dr. Thorners assistant said that while I was in the waiting room they went back and asked her if she would see me, without the insurance card. Her answer was NO. No insurance card no office visit.



I am very unhappy! No, I will not reschedule with a doctor who thinks so little of my health.

Nancy delivered my daughter and has been my OBGYN ever since. She is amazing! She even called me to check on me in between appointments. My co-worker also goes to Dr. Thorner and we were so excited and compared stories with such excitement when we found out. You will love her. She sometimes gets backed up on her appointment times and you have to wait. This is becuase she spends the time necessary with her patients. She is well worth an extra half hour.
