I have been going to Chows since they opened and they continue to be one of my favorite Santa Fe restaurants!

This is by far the best Chinese restaurant in Santa Fe. I can't understand the one star ratings unless they are from from a bitter competitor. Every dish I have had is delicious. I especially like the "coffee chicken".

Food was not that great. I could have bought tastier food that costs WAY less than they charge... Also, the lady at the front desk was very rude. I went with two other people. we asked for the check to be separated, she made a big fuss about it and told us, "next time tell your waiter before you order." when she handed back the cards, she threw it on the counter instead of nicely handing it back. NEVER going there again.

I ordered sesame chicken and white rice for lunch today the 26th of April, 2011. When i started to eat the chicken it just did not taste fresh. It tasted like it had been sitting for a long time. I actually felt sick within minutes of consuming some of the food. I called back in to tell them and i wanted my money back. (It's not cheap) They were not nice at all but said to take the food back and that they would refund me. ( I just want to note that i am not a complainer about many things usually i really enjoy their food) Anyways, my mother returned the food for me because i could not get off of work. After they refunded the card, they told her "not to come back." My mother then relayed this message on to me and i immediately called them. I stated that i was the person today that returned my lunch and i wanted to know if i was correct that they said not to come back. The lady ( who was the owner) said "no no no they did'nt say anything, they did'nt have time to talk to her, they were really busy and that they did'nt have time for her." I then said " so are you telling me that you have a business and that you dont have time for your customers?" She said no that she was busy with other people she did not have time for her. I said that we used to be loyal customers until now and that she was disgusting and i would tell everyone that i know about the horrible and rude service we recieved. She then told me to "go ahead and tell chenese man, mexican man, white man, tell everybody." I said that i would and that i personally am a business owner and would never treat anyone that way.

So, if you like to be treated rudly, horribly, with no manners, like your a piece of trash, and be disgriminated against, then go to Chows Restaurant.

Good Chinese food. Large portions. Reasonably priced. Attententive service. It is in a strip mall, difficult to find the first time.
