My last treatment center doesn’t hold a candle to this place. I have felt safe and cared for ever since I got here. I am impressed with how the administration works. My concerns have been taken seriously and action is always taken to meet my needs. The counselor aids have always been friendly and helpful. The structure of the program helps me feel secure. Staff availability has been wonderful.

She says that he is doing phenomenal! He is working and focusing on getting his family back in his life again. He is very upbeat and has a positive attitude. She said to tell everyone thank everyone from the bottom of her heart because we are the only facility that he actually was able to stay longer than just a couple of days and for that she will be eternally grateful.

This place charges patients ridiculous amounts of money and when an intake is done, you would think she is your best friend and her intentions are good. When you get there, however, you will see it is just a money making company. Ever see planet of the apes? When I saw the patients so drugged up, I honestly wanted to free them from all of the profit the pharmaceutical companies were making from experimenting on them. And..the therapists were so mean and had no compassion.

I was a resident at LHS in Santa Fe for about five months, 8 years ago. I had much to deal with....dual diagnoses, and complex trauma issues. Despite my own huge self-doubt regarding my own value and worth, I found all staff at LHC to be very professional, nonjudgemental, and extremely caring about every resident. The daily program fit my needs perfectly and by working with staff, I not only began to feel better about myself but even came to realize that I was a decent human being. The helped me discover my own inner strength and gave me my life back......and for that I say Thank you so much! It was not an easy journey nor an easy decision to go there, but the best one I have made in a long time. It is an awesome place with amazing people.

(I know that staff has changed dramatically from when I was there, but if the philosphy is the same and it seems to be, it could be an amazing and rewarding place for you to heal.)

My adult daughter was in treatment for addiction issues and PTSD at the Life Healing Center in January, 2011. While there she was taken twice to St. Vincent’s Hospital for evaluation and treatment, once by ambulance. Director Mary Young told me later that my daughter was “paranoid and delusional.” She was administered anti-psychotic drugs at the hospital, and continued one of the drugs upon her return to the LHC, administered by staff there. She quickly developed a toxic reaction to the drug resulting in headaches, physical tremors, loss of vision, and mental confusion. She was then released, alone, without LHC’s notifying anyone, to travel by cab, 65 miles to the emergency room at University of New Mexico Hospital. She spent two days in UNM’s emergency room and another five days as an in-patient trying to negate the toxic effects of the drugs administered by LHC. My daughter was only released when her father and I agreed to travel from Texas and accept responsibility for her care and follow up treatment. The manner of her release indicates callous incompetence. I would strongly recommend that no one send any family member to the Life Healing Center.
