While the governor, her would-be replacements and the legislature wring their hands over what to do to boost the weak New Mexico economy, www.NMFA.net is doing something! Its charter is to help cities and other local governments fund infrastructure improvements, including public-private projects -- and it just works. I'd like to focus more on green projects and water, but even old-fashioned projects, if well-chosen -- and they are -- create the foundation ("infrastructure") for a stronger economy.
