My boyfriend and I were in Santa Fe last weekend and visited several establishments in the plaza. When we got to the Santa Bar and Grill we were seated promptly and the atmosphere is great. Our problem was with our waiter. He was rude and inattentive. My boyfriend ordered a beer and I ordered a glass of water and we wanted to order dessert but when our waiter brought our drinks he turned and left before we could even order dessert. Mind you the restaurant had a total of 10 patrons in it at the time so it was not busy. By the time we got his attention while he finished waiting on a table close to us we got him to get us the dessert and another beer, that was the last we saw of him until we asked the bus person if we could have our check. Needless to say we didn't leave this waiter a very good tip! We would have eaten dinner here because the dessert was to die for. Spend your money elsewhere like La Fonda which is where we ended up eating dinner.

Try the "baseball cut" steak. It's amazing!
