Laura is a good listener. She is kind but also she calls our behaviors or thoughts that might be contradictory to your goals or to your overall health. She used dialectical behavior therapy as our main tool. She is professional, but also has a sense of humor. She's a bit on the tough side as far as counselors go because she's not there to be touchy feely, but she is there to help you get work done. I enjoyed talking with her for a few months. Her overall approach included taking a good look at both past and present in understanding her clients. She's intelligent and prompt. Therapy with her was productive for me and I still use the tools she taught me to this day. One thing I like about her is that she is relatable and shares some of her own experiences when relevant. She is fully present. I would recommend her.
