We adopted a dog from the Santa Maria shelter located on Foster St. last July. He was about 7 months old at the time, and had been in the shelter about a month. Parker was well cared for, clean, and well behaved. The facility was also clean, appeared to be well organized, and the staff members were very interested in the animals' welfare, both on site and where they might be going home too. Parker is a beautiful boy and had stayed at the shelter as long as he did because he is a large dog and needs lots of room to run. Lucky for us, we live on a ranch and could provide him with plenty of romping room.



During the adoption process the staff communicated with us regularly and had Parker ready to go on schedule, altered, micro chipped and vaccinated.



I highly recommend the Santa Maria Shelter if you are looking for a new pet.
