I have custody of my niece for over 3 yrs and i take her to Dr. Burg Office because they are wonderful with children. She especially likes Dr. Burgs magic trick and she's not afraid to go to the dentist which is great. I take her every 6 months & the whole staff is wonderful. She looks foward to her check ups & I enjoy speaking to the staff they are people friendly and thats so hard to find now a days...Thanks for a great job Dr. Burg, Margaret Office Manager & all the Staff!

I brought my very nervous 4 yr old in for her first appointment. The hygentist took no time to speak with her and immediately started with the X-rays, when my daughter protested she said "Look there's a 2 year old doing this in the next room who isn't crying like you". No ability to deal with kids at all. The Dr. was no better. He rushed us through the appointment - My child was not comforted at all by any of the staff. The Dr quickly said "She has a mouthful of cavities so we'll send her to the surgicenter" of course I had a number of questions but he left before I could ask them. I left & went to Dr. Walker in SLO who is wonderful. No one in that office had the ability to deal with a nervous child which I'm sure they see ever day. They were more concerned that they get my payment before scheduling my child at the surgicenter. If a child has to be put under for dental work the safest place to be is at the hospital - they do that in SLO. The trip to Dr. Berg was a nightmare!

Although there is no dispute that the staff in this office provide excellent dental care, I have found it's office waiting room practices are somewhat biased. Many families may not be aware that there are two separate waiting rooms. One waiting room is for children with private insurance, and the other waiting room is for children who receive medical or healthy families benefits. This would be fine if both waiting rooms were equal in what they offer. The private insurance waiting room has video games, toys, and spectacular aquariums and decor. The medical and Healthy Families waiting room is small, has limited seating for the amount of clients it handles, and a dirty playhouse for the children to sit in. I feel that the idea of having separate waiting rooms is a biased practice that leads to unequal treatment of children and families based on income. I realize that there must be a logical reason for seperate rooms. I would ask that the same quality of waiting rooms for all families.

They are a kid friendly office with doctors who really care about oral needs. They respond to phone and are flexible with schedules.
