I saw a flyer that foster homes were needed. I called and a rep from the organization, Lisa, came to my home for interview. She was very friendly and professional and explained the program to me. I didn't know that being a foster parent could make a difference. I am excited to receive my first foster cat! Thank you voice for the animals!

Slow bureaucracy

They may have great intentions and maybe they do plenty of god things for animals. But, I would not recomnd them if you are looking to adopt a pet.

We were first required to fax in our application. It took them a couple of days to realize that their fax was not working so they let us email it in. We spent two weeks calling 4 different people in the organization trying to find out if we were approved and if we could set up the required home inspection. In the end they decided that the cat we wanted could only be adopted along with its brother.

The animals are scattered throughout Los Angeles in foster homes, which I am sure is great for the animals but the organization simply can't support the bureaucracy that they have created.

If you are looking to adopt I would recomend an SPCA or a city shelter oever Voice for the Animals.
