During a recent trip to Destin, we ran across Louis Louis in the former Cafe Provence location (Hwy 98 near the intersection of 30A -- Santa Rosa Beach area). The locals refer to this restaurant as "Blue Bar" since it is a sister establishment to the famous "Red Bar" a bit further down Hwy 30A. The menu is not extensive -- it is displayed on a chalkboard and evidently changes daily. I ordered a portion of grilled fish served atop a seared grits cake (with cheese and bacon) and wilted spinach. My wife had a roasted pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes and tossed, mixed greens salad. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent -- our food was served much faster than we expected. I ordered a piece of Key Lime Pie to go -- It was HUGE and VERY delicious -- with a unique cookie crumble crust and a filling that was sweet but tart at the same time. Prices were very reasonable and I can definitely say that we'll be returning to Louis Louis whenever we visit the Destin area.
