My practice is limited to creation of estate plans (including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, etc.), trust administration, probates, and/or litigation if absolutely necessary. My hourly rate is $250 per hour but most estate plans are done on a flat-rate basis and my total fee for a complete plan is usually about $1,500. My first meeting with a new client is free regardless of how long it takes. That first meeting will result in me making a suggestion to the client of the type of plan and documents which I feel are best suited to the client, along with a precise statement of how much that suggested plan would cost. If the client does not want to go ahead with the plan I have suggested at the price I have offered, there is no charge for the meeting. I pride myself on delivery of quality legal services at reasonable rates. This means I make a purposeful effort to keep the planning documents as simple and understandable as possible, considering they still need to work. I am "old fashioned" about wanting clients to understand what they are signing and how the estate plan will work. Plans I prepare do not include pages of "boilerplate" which are not needed, and only serve to increase confusion and/or expense.
