Trying to see if they could do a job late in the season, very rude over the phone. If you don't want the job just say no thank you and be on your way, you don't have to belittle someone over the phone.

This March (2013) we got some quotes for a replace driveway and Wegener s was the lowest. I found his number in the yellow pages. He didn t measure our driveway, just eye-balled it. We waited until the weather was good and he called me one night, asked if he could start tomorrow morning. The next morning he and his crew were right on time.

I was at work when they put it in, but my wife said they were all very polite. It was not a crew of illegal aliens, nor a group of ex-cons. These were nice guys. It was a 2 day job. The driveway looked really good when they were done and there was no mess left over.

A few weeks later my neighbor across the street complimented the driveway and said those guys did a really nice job. I told him I knew nothing about asphalt and would have no way to tell if it was a good job, other than just looking at it. My neighbor then informed me that he worked for a local municipal public works street department, and he knew a thing or two about asphalt. He said they did a really good job.

The final price was $100 more than the estimate, but overall I was VERY happy with Wegener Asphalt and would highly recommend them to anyone.
