This store has a lovely selection of Vera Bradley and fine beach apparel. On my first visit I was given wonderful attention and assistance from a kind employee. I purchased a hat, she removed the tag and I wore it out the door. Unfortunately, the hat had to be returned 2 days later as it was defective. I did not have the receipt when I returned it-which was my fault. However, I was delighted to see the same salesperson when I entered the store and since she had spent a good deal of time with me I thought she might remember me. Another woman asked if I needed help and I told her I needed to return my hat. Since I knew it might be a problem without the receipt I pointed out the salesperson who sold it to me. This saleswoman spoke to me abruptly and said "It doesn't matter who sold it to you! We need to be sure you bought this here!" Apparently my word and an employee eyewitness were not enough! I found a different more expensive hat I thought I'd buy instead and also a Vera Bradley item. The transaction was uncomfortable and when I used my debit card and had no ID with me (hadn't been asked for ID all week in Siesta Keys) the woman at the counter kindly told me not to worry about going to get it. However, the other woman glared at me! What horrible customer service! I felt like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman! Wow...very snobbish. I will be returning to Siesta Key in a year, but will not frequent this place again!
