Church of the Redeemer Sarasota is a traditional Anglican church in downtown Sarasota. Founded in 1885, and in current location since 1950, this beautiful church has over 2,900 full-time members plus receives many seasonal visitors. Constructed in traditional cruciform style with an elaborate icon above the high altar, many amazing stained glass windows, historical oil paintings and art, and bell tower with bells made in Passau Germany. We were visiting Sarasota and attended service on a Sunday. We were blown away with how beautiful and reverent this church is. People are very friendly and we felt comfortable worshiping here. Church is steeped in art and has a traditional look and feel that we loved. Will attend again when back in Sarasota.
