This is an interesting CAFE' & certainly not a "gourmet" eatery. I'd have given

it 5 Stars except I ate there when the experienced Chef David wasn't in the cucina...

nowheres near as properly prepared Southern Italian without him!!

Day Serving lady Linda truly knows how to suggest the right wines with dishes

& she makes the Cafe' into a real "neighborhood-style eatery". Started eating here

when place opened - "new" addition of Gabriella for Evening Dining a true + as she

has detailed knowledge of Souther Italian wines & foods & caring for her guests!

Truly a nice, rough n tough, yet charming place to eat, drink & be jolly as my many

trips to Amalfi Coast, all way thru Sicily has shown me ... have recommended to many

Sarasota friends, but try to be there when detailed orientated David is in residence as

cooks need his expertise badly. IF you are a "coffee freak" do NOT pass up a pound

of coffee - no place in Sarasota grinds green coffee beans right in front of you to take

home - incredible! A Cafe'-Winery is a needed place here in south Sarasota!

Added thrill is when BLUE KNIGHTS reserve tables & fills up a room--Wow!

Talk about a "safe" environment! Soon outside dining will be completed for joy of

European-minded foodies.

We have eaten there at least once a week for the past 1 1/2 years. ONLY wood fired pizza oven in town. No one can beat this pizza. Most everything there is made from scratch including sausage, pasta, meatballs, and wine. Casual atmosphere and they treat you like family. Did I mention reasonable prices?

Goodfellas, hands down, has the best pizza in town! Anyone looking for a real, new york style pizza would be more than happy here! The pizza is a thin crust made in a woodfired oven giving it that authentic, new york taste! Aside from pizza, the have killer subs and paninis and the meatballs are awesome! After your meal, you can enjoy some homemade Gelato, the Banana Caramel Praline was my favorite!



On the winery side of things, they are the only bonded winery in Sarasota, FL. They make all of their own wine, you will not be disappointed!!!



If you are going out for a date night, I would get their Wine and Dine special, a large cheese pizza and a bottle of wine for $19! You can't go wrong there!



The staff is all very friendly and provide great service, they make you feel right at home!
