I took my daughter to IPPMC for physical therapy and for a sports related injury. IPPMC was professional and the facility is absolutely beautiful. They offer every aspect needed for injury...state of the art gym, therapeutic pool, hot tub, MRI lab, and the staff from Dr. Kowalkowski to the staff who welcomes you to IPPMC was great! We have been to many other clinics in town who claim to offer pain management or physical therapy only to find out they only offer injections or give your child a piece of paper and a large rubber band and tell them to go home and do these exercises. That's not physical therapy. I would highly recommend IPPMC and would say go there for yourself to experience it, that way you don't rely on reviews from people you never met. You'll leave feeling great about experiencing it for yourself.

This place is still running because of staff, physical therapy, reception, nurse, not this Dr. K(wack). I was/am a kind, light hearted person, I’m 50 years old he told me, after tearing the cartilage in my hip, in excruciating pain 12/10 like that if I’m going to see him I need to act socially acceptable. I said Huh? I’ve NEVER been reprimanded for my behavior in my life! Knowing he’d assert his dominance I said nothing after the huh? Comment.
I left crying so hard, feeling SO hopeless like a ridiculous, hypochondriact, undeserving, freak.
Don’t plan on learning about your diagnosis, I had 10 MRI’S in 6 months, he gets so excited when he see’s a justifiable (insurance) cause for many injections. Don’t think his charm is real, he’s a salesman NOT a doctor.
After going here for 6 months, I tore cartilage in my hip, I went through 4 injections in my sore groin, (before the MRI for diagnosis) including 1 that hit the bone (Femur head), God forbid you say Ow. He’ll nail you down to finish jamming needles wherever, deep. The relief lasted up to 2 weeks until I tweaked the tear in my hip repeatedly he almost drools when he learns he gets to start series of injections, he wanted to do it again, plus, he brought up all the other troubles I have, (where he could start injections) I gently said I need help with this hip. He turns to me and said “Oh, so your just here to dump on me”. He brings up seeing his in house therapist. I told him my pain is out of control he screams at me “You already have Pot in your system! I sent him the drug test results I had taken 3 days prior for my G.P. proving I had NO Un prescribed drugs in my system.
I guess the rest of my life will be waiting to expire, I can not endure ever being emotionally tore up by a hair trigger, again. He really should work in a slaughter house, not a place where people are so emotionally spent from pain, I went to him, he was my last hope for help I feel like he spit and laughed at my personal hell.

I went there for over a year and within a year they did at least 20 injections in my back none in which lasted longer than a day. They also did for MRIs. So if you have a good insurance they will be more than happy to put 20 injections and you and rack up the insurance bill.

I read some of the bad reviews and being a patient of IPPMC I thought it would be better to put my opinion towards IPPMC and Dr. K. I have been treated with dignity and honor. Dr. K was the person who has treated me and made my life a lot better. He knows his stuff. I was recommended by colleague to visit Dr. K. After his strong recommendation, I came to IPPMC to treatment. After consulting with Dr. K, my whole life has changed a lot. I don't have to depend on my family members for daily activities. In the medical business, it is tough to make everybody satisfied. During my visit, I used to talk with other patients with different pain problems and they only praised Dr. K for his excellent treatment and behavior. Even the staffs are very helpful. IPPMC is a great facility. I would definitely recommend all patients in pain to visit Dr. K and feel the change.

I was in pain for 15 years. I have gone to different doctors and told there was nothing wrong or anything they could do. I was taking up to 16 Vicodin a day to cover my pain and it was not helping. I came to IPPMC. Since I have been here I have been much pain free.I have been able to do things that I have not done that in five years. I would recommend anyone to come here.

I feel pain free for the first time in six years, unbelievable. My body feels light, I am not under stress, my blood pressure is 129/84. I do not need those strong pain medications like OxyContin and Percocet. I am able to sleep through the night for eight hours for the first time in years. My attitude has improved and I am able to function at a normal level and it is also better for my children because I am not irritated and distracted with pain.

My wife & I agree with all of the negative reviews & experiences with DR. K. I went there 2 months ago for pain in my thoracic area just below a 3 level neck fusion. We met with him for 1 hour and at least 50 minutes of my time was spent listening to him bash the Centra Care Hospital System. Along with many of its Doctors for not referring patients to his clinic. He also tore down most of the pain clinics in MN. He told us of being recognized in the top 17 pain clinics in 11 Countries an amazing feat. While not even making the top 10 in MN from the listings I could find. DR K ordered 2 MRI's of my 2 level low back fusion & thoracic area. I was seeing him for neck and thoracic pain not low back. He doesn't hesitate to do MRI's along with billing extravagantly for them. He decided to do an injection into my thoracic area, his nurse had trouble getting the IV going after 4 pokes she got it started. I had blood running down my arm from the other poke sites and it was still there when I left the office. After the procedure a nurse handed me his plan of action. This was insane it reminded of getting new tires and the service writer hands you the paper claiming your car has tons of other problems that need attention ASAP. I spent 2 weeks on the couch following the injection with no improvement it was much worse than before I went in. I ended up with referrals to my neurosurgeon & a pain clinic I have been to in the past from my Doctor. IPPMC did zero after procedure calls to follow up I sure wish they had. To add more pain to my ordeal I was billed $7,500.00 for my 1 and only visit. My wife had gone there also and had 11 injections within a 3 month period for low back & hip pain with zero results. My wife went to the other referred local pain clinic just down the street. She finally had immediate positive results from 1 visit and commented on the Professional atmosphere she experienced there. I could have gone down to the local pub, tipped a dart with a steroid. Then handed the dart to a patron and had him toss it at my thoracic area the outcome couldn't have been any worse. Please read other reviews on other review sites, there are many and if you decide to proceed ask for an estimate to avoid a massive unexpected bill. I have found that many of the glowing 5 star reviews are from anonymous posts. Along with a review page where positive posts were removed due to duplicates from the same address. Just check his rating with the Better Business Bureau!
