Handy Harry was hired to complete a job for the sellers of our home. They completed the job very poorly, and in 9 months the same problem is occurring. I requested them to come back to review their work, and they were very nice about making an appointment. The owner, Harry, arrived and was very adamant that they completed the job the sellers requested even though he advised them that this would not fix the problem. However, when I tried discussing this with him, he became very defensive and raised his voice stating that I did not understand what he was saying, and that his work was appropriate. Overall, I was very disappointed in the owner's professionalism, and lack of respect for his work. Harry did not offer to fix the work in which he stated I was a 'fifth quarter quarterback' after sharing with him what our insurance advisor suggested. If you could, I would hire a contractor that was more respectful, and had more pride in his work so the job would be done correctly the first time.

This guy gave an estimate to drywall a room that was almost completely hung for 2800 bucks. He included 7 sheets of drywall that weren't needed and said a couple guys would do it in 10 hours. By my estimate that's 50 bucks for the drywall from Menards and even paying his guys 20 per hour that's 400 more. Add a little for overhead and profit, at most a 750 dollar job. Very unprofessional and frankly, insane estimate. Avoid this contractor. Sounds like he wants you to pay for his 65000 dollar truck

I would never hire Handy Harry ever again. It's been 3 years since we had work done by him. Although I am writing this review late it has taken me a while to notice all of the flaws. We had them redo two of our bathrooms. The dry wall work looks like it was their first time ever attempting dry wall. You can see the seams where two pieces meet, as well as where they put the nails, the corners are not even square you can just see how wavy they are. We had them put in a skylight, you can see where they put the dry wall pieces and the seams aren't even plastered. One of their guys went to cut the hole for the lighting and cut it in the wrong spot and didn't even bother fixing it you can still see where he messed up. I go to turn the lights on tonight and they don't work. I checked the breaker and it wasn't tripped and I switched out light bulbs. This is what sent me over the top this evening.We had started scraping off the popcorn ceiling in our one bathroom and had asked if they could finish it, but they didn't they sent their painter in with the primer and completely painted over it. I wouldn't even give this a one star if I didn't have to. If you want the job right this is not your guy. Find someone else!!

Reliable, accurate, honest, quality work. They fixed my back door, siding, garage door and railings. They completely finished the job with an eye to maintenance and quality rather than "get it done."
