Great communication m, friendly..gets them points. I have a 7 yrs Westie who in those 6 years of grooming has never ever has the area from under the bottom of his tail to thru his back lags nears his stomach. Leaving an extreme Mkt unappealing look I have never seen in one of 20-39 haircuts. They shaved idown to basically his skin so it will take forever to grow back to normal. After working with 16-20 groomers I have need seen this hairstyle down once! I'll leave my disappoints to just that one specific thing however, it was enough to make me know want to go back. I don't feel that they were truthful with me about exoerience with giving show quality hc's to westies.

I LOVE Barkie Bow Wows because they love my dog, Annabelle, and it shows! Annabelle is always excited to see them as they are her. Even when I call last minute, they always manage to make room for my dog! I have never hesitated a moment in regards to the level of care and attention that she receives! Thanks Barkie Bow Wows!

Been using Barkies for almost 6 yrs now, on my 2nd dog. They are great. My first beloved pet, Bianca, a miniature poodle, was a head case when she first went in due to unkind handling by other groomers, she was only 2. She immediately had a turnaround in behavior, and was treated like a little queen, the owner said she just needed some patience and confidence building. She was always turned out looking like a little show dog! Bianca passed 2 yrs ago from cancer and I have another crazy dog, Butch, who is a holy terror. He is a rescue mixed Shih xhu and after a few times getting groomed, his price has gone down and he is acting like a little somewhat gentleman. i like these folks, they are down to earth, not "fru fru" like some groomers act like, and they know how to handle dogs. Butch has been boarded a few times and he seems to be happy there.

I've had a completely different exerience with Barkie Bow Wow's. I've been twice. The first time I just had to wait for my dogs for about a half hour after my agreed pick-up time. The second time was a nightmare! I myself was running late to their pick up, by about 45 minutes to an hour. I asked to use the restroom and was allowed to the back where the washing took place. I found my friends dog, who I was also supposed to pick up just being put in the wash sink, and a huge back up of dogs on the floor and in cages all around. I then continued to walk into the back section where the "bed and biscuit was to find those dogs on laying on the cold concrete floor in a dark room. On my way out I saw my two chihuahua's shivering in "drying cages" with a box fan in front of them. Anyone who owns chihuahuas knows that you can't do that, they must be towelled dried or blow dried, and groomers know that as well. I continued to wait for another 30 minutes(and hour and a half after the pick-up time) just for when they brought out my dogs, my girl dog had a bandana wrapped so tightly around her neck I could not fit my little finger underneath to get it off, I had to rip it off and a couple of her toe nails were trimmed too short then continue to bleed on my clothes and car seats for the entire ride home. No doubt their operation is one of the most poorly planned, poorly organized operations in Savannah. They overbook, but cannot follow through so the animals suffer, they also do not seem to take into consideration the breed they are dealing with. To the review posted before mine, your dog is probably happy to see everyone.

I've been boarding and grooming my dogs here for years and Barbara and company have made sure they are well takend care of and they just love love coming here. My pets jump up and lick and kiss Miss Barbara every time they come into the shop and follow her right into the back and don't even say goodbye to me! I guess they like it here! I do.
