Friends and I had such a good time having dinner at Cha Bella. The place is really fun. The food is fresh and delicious.... and they make the most amazing fruit drinks at the bar. We sat outside having drinks after dinner while watching movies on the wall! Really great evening !

What a great place to enjoy dinner. Cha Bella is at the end of Broughton St. only a short walk from the middle of town. Our hotel told us this is the place in town to eat at and they were right. Food was delicious, service was attentive. We sat outside on the patio and had a super time!

Cha Bella is a beautiful restaurant right in Savannah. We chose Cha Bella for our wedding reception because in addition to having a nice size reception room inside they have a beautiful covered patio outside. We are foodies so Cha Bella’s farm to table concept of using only the freshest ingredients prepared daily at the restaurant really appealed to us. We dined there times prior to our wedding and the food was always outstanding. Candace, their event coordinator was very attentive and met all of our culinary needs. She was willing to meet several times and go over every detail to make sure our wedding was a success. The restaurant was decorated beautifully and the staff was very professional and friendly. We could not be happier about our wedding.

Thank you Cha Bella for making our special day perfect!

Cha Bella threw away the top tier of my wedding cake after agreeing to temporarily keep it in their cooler until I could get settled into my hotel room. When asked for the cake, they then lied to me and told me it was a health code violation to keep the cake in their cooler (which it is not).

They have refused to compensate me with anything other than a one tier cake made by their catering coordinator (not even a pastry chef) and will not return any of my calls or emails.

Other issues:

- Did not show for the initial site visit

- Slow turnaround time for communication

- Gave me a togo plate with only shellfish when they were aware of my shellfish allergy

We really enjoyed our dinner at this restaurant. The food was excellent as was the service and atmosphere. All the food is locally sourced and tasted very fresh. They have a large patio and the party going on outside gave this restaurant a great vibe. Everyone was having a terrific time. Should be on your list of places to eat in Savannah.

Automatic Gratuity

We had a party of six which consisted of five adults and a seven year old. When the check arrived, there was 20% gratuity added. No where on the menu is it mentioned that gratuity will be added to parties of six or more. Since I worked various services industry positions, I have no problem tipping leaving a 20- 25% tip. However, I do have an issue when it is not posted anywhere.

I tried to discuss it with the hostess. When I mentioned that up "North" it is usually printed on the menu, she replied, "do you mean northern GA?' At that point, I realized that it was a lost cause.

In addition, I had the Small Plate Option Chef's Day-Boat Seafood Offering as my main course. It was cold when it arrived. I told my server and she said, "Do you mean the tuna?' I replied that I am fully aware that good tuna should be rare inside and that the entire dish was cold. I think that she put the order in as a first course and it sat there until all the other main dishes were ready.

Two others had the Wild Porcini Mushroom Pappardelle and it was more of a Tuscan Mushroom Soup. There was no pasta. An order arrived at a table next to us and it had at least a half pound of pasta.

To be fair, two others had the grouper and they loved it.

I would not recommend this restaurant.
