I went to David's Bridal in Savannah today and the customer service was absolutely awful. I went to look for a mother of the bride gown and told the salesperson the date of the wedding and the bride's colors. I also told her that I wasn't planning to buy today but wanted to look at what is available. She took me to a wall of gowns and said this is what they have. Then she left. Most of the gowns were 20W or larger. Not only were most of the available gowns large they were also matronly. What I found odd was that that none of the salespeople offered suggestions or tried to elicit more information from me. I actually found two gowns that I wanted to try on but couldn't find a salesperson to assist me.They basically just treated me as though I were a non-customer. I might have purchased a gown there if the customer service were better. I have visited several bridal salons as my daughter was looking for her perfect bridal gown so I think I have a pretty good feel for the level of customer service to expect in any salon. This is the first time I entered a bridal salon where customer's don't seem to be valued. I doubt very seriously that I will return to this store.

I went to Davids Bridal in Savannah today and experienced truly awful customer service. I was not greeted or acknowledged at all when I walked into the store. I walked over to the desk where there were two employees, one on the phone and one looking at a clipboard. I stood there for over five minutes and no one even looked up at me. Finally, I just walked over to the dresses and started browsing. When I came back to the desk, a different employee was on the phone and a line of customers was growing behind me. Another employee came up and asked the lady BEHIND me if she needed any assistance, When I finally got someone's attention, I was told to go pick four dresses I liked and them come see them to get in a fitting room. I found my dresses, and it was back for another ten minute wait at the desk. While I was standing there, the ladies in front of me were talking about how David's Bridal needed to either hire more employees or tell the ones they have to spend less time on the phone and more time with the people who took time out of their day to come into their store. An employee then puts her hand over the phone's receiver, looks at me, and says to go to an unlocked fitting room and someone would be with me shortly. I left empty handed. Not one single employee at this location assisted me in a timely manner or with any sort of professionalism or kindness. If you're wanting the day you pick out your dress to be a special one, go to a store where the employees actually notice you're there!

Worst experience ever

I called ahead of time to schedule an appointment so that I wouldn't have to fight for attention, however, that still seemed to be the case even with an appointment. Whenever I got there we were all waiting outside at 10:58 and they would not open the doors until 11:05 even though they opened at 11. I thought it was a little rude that they saw us standing out there and they couldn't open the doors 2 minutes early, but whatever. Then they were late to our appointment. We picked out our own dresses, I tried on 3 dresses, found the dress I wanted, and sat in a chair for about 5 minutes before I even was noticed. Then she called me by the wrong name the entire appointment which really wasn't an appointment apparently. The woman was snooty, may I say all of them were. They treated me as if I wasnt important. I would suggest that you go to any other bridal store Except this particular one.

They were horrible. Seriously read this so your experience isn't made terrible. I didn't let it get to me, I had a Great Wedding experience, I just want to tell my story to save others bc this could have ruined things for me if I had let it. I don't want others to be put in this situation.

It was bad, Not only for me as a bride, but for my best friend when I was her MOH. When you shop there, they input your info. in their system (name, fiance's name, wedding date, etc.) When my friend was getting married, I had to call 3 times before they finally confirmed our appointment correctly for us to come in to get our bridesmaids dresses. I kept having to call bc they couldn't get anything right.....date, time, names, etc. Ridiculous. I specifically told them to make sure that when we come in they remember this is not for me (since I was in their system from shopping there and I'm getting married later on that year) but for her. I gave them her name, wedding date and said remember, she is the bride (she was already in their system as well). SURPRISE....The first thing they say when we come in for our appointment After I told them we are here for "the Brides full name" (don't want to reveal her name there) is "Oh, right this is for the 'my last name/my fiances last name' wedding". I was like OMG! No, this is not for me and I mentioned that to you over the phone several times. The note was right there on her paper in front of her. I was so upset. This day wasn't supposed to be about me and they started off our bridesmaid shopping experience in a Very Awkward way. I felt bad for my friend, but luckily she is laid back and didn't really let it affect her.
