I've boarded my two horses at Norwood Stables for about two years now. My horses are extremely well cared, & I have the luxury of being only 5 minutes away from them at all times, living in Isle of Hope! It's so nice to have an in-town stable that knows how to properly manage and care for horses. Linda, the owner, is very personable and is always welcoming to any guests I bring to see my horses. Norwood Stables has a full petting zoo- ponies, donkeys, goats, rabbits, chickens, ducks, a sheep and an alpaca. They do birthday parties no matter the size of the guest list. I've seen small children all the way up to grown adults have parties there. It's a fun, relaxed atmosphere with so many animals to interact with. They have a lesson program and even take intermediate level students to local horse shows. As an in-town stable, there is no large pasture of grass, but rest assured, those horses receive large quantities of hay & grain and are happily plump. I most definitely recommend you to book a party, lesson or pony ride!

I purchased two 60 minute riding lessons for my 2 daughters, a 9 year old and 11 year old got the ponies saddle on and bridle on the ponies, nobody helped my girls on the ponies and after less than 30 minutes later they were taking off the ponies, which I asked owner why they were not still riding, was told it was too hot, I explained I emailed her prior to make sure the girls experience and ages would still be good for 60 minutes and was told yes they would be fine riding for 60 minutes. I asked for a refund or for the girls to return since they rec'd half of their sessions. I was then told the time brushing the ponies was part of the 60 minute lesson. I explained they did not get to brush or do anything with the ponies prior, actually my girls wanted to pet the ponies and they continued to be yelled at by the owner to not pet them. I did inform living social of the poor service and also that the owners response to my request was that she did not need my business as she had lots of customers, so I hope all potential customers to be aware of her attitude and poor service and horrible interaction with children. After sharing experience many others stated they new of many others which had bad experience with the owner.

We had our daughter's 2nd birthday party here. It was a huge hit.
