The Tea Room has an authentic Savannah ambiance along with a great variety of fresh loose teas. The staff/owners (are too tell) are all knowledgeable, helpful, enthusiastic and willing to be of service. I visit every time I am in Savannah and think about them whenever considering afternoon tea at a facility. The menu and service in the restaurant are outstanding. Having tea served with clove spiked lemons was a real treat. The Tea Room provides afternoon Tea as it was meant to be enjoyed. For a delicious, calming and comforting afternoon, I heartily recommend The Tea Room....and take home some wonderful and unusual varieties of loose tea - complete with preparation instructions.Cecelia, Atlanta, GA

I am a native of Savannah and love meeting my friends at The Tea Room. The food is excellent and LOVE THE TEA!!

This was our 2nd trip to the Savannah Tea Room and we won't be going back again! There was a clump of hair wrapped around the food in one of our Tea sandwiches. I didn't realize it until I had taken a bite of the sandwich and started chewing hair as well as food! It was so disgusting and grossed out the rest of my party! The only thing our waiter did was offer to give us some champaign but none of us drink. So we said no. The Tea Room didn't offer to compensate us at all on our bill...which was disappointing and what they should have done! I don't know how a clump of hair would get in our food without them putting it there but it makes me wonder if the cooking staff wears gloves and hair nets. If they don't they should! We walked out with close to $150 bill w/gratuity included plus we shopped in the boutique! What a waste of money! Plus we found a cigarette under our table! Our waiter did apologize but he should have done more than just that!



For some people in our party this was their first Afternoon Tea Experience and one none of us will ever forget and I don't mean that in a positive way!
