Actually I use to enjoy this restaurant with my wife we try to support our local businesses but I've noticed the past couple times that we have gone to IXTAPA that the MNGT doesn’t seem to care that waitress service is less than desirable. The enviroment can be pleasent but on this occasion I had asked to have their music turned down as I did not want to yell across the table to my wife during our dinner, I could have taken her to a bar for that, after talking to an unpleasent waitress that speaks less than superior ENGLISH I decided that I would just call in on Mon morning of the next wk & talk with MNGT since it was a Fri night. We also waited for refills on soda, chips & had to flag our waitress down to ask for additional napkins which was odd since she was spot on with the table next to us, she was mad & giving us poor service because I asked to have their music turned down thinking that I would put up with BAD SERVICE but yet be expected to pay $50 for my meal & leave a tip. On Mon I called to speak with the MNGR to let him know that the Service was horrid & I didn't like being argued with by his waitress, I just wanted the music turned down to a level that I could hear my wife & enjoy my meal, I was told by the MNGR who also stated he was the Owner and I quote “I DON'T CARE THAT YOU ARE UNHAPPY, THE WAITRESS IS MY SISTER & SHE TOLD ME WHAT HAPPENED & I BELIEVE HER & DON'T CARE THAT YOU ARE UNHAPPY”. After my conversation wtih the Owner/MNGT I decided that if any owner takes this type of stand with his patrons in this type of economy or any economy for that matter is only interested in one thing and thats taking my money & not interested in running a high quality establishment & since we are at an inpass I'm affaid that I will no longer support this business. Thank you for your support IXTAPA!!!! Oh I didnt get a chance to tell you on the phone that your menus are filthy and need to be washed.

This resturant is excellent mexican food at it's best, we are very lucky to have it in Scappoose.
