When it comes to saltwater aquatics, these guys are hands down the best in the area. They provide a friendly environment and have a great selection. Whether you’re a long time saltwater hobbyist or a first time starter these guys can help answer any question.

I want to begin this rather long review by stating that I have never met the gentlemen at Advanced Aquatics (AA) in Schaumburg prior to 3/31/10. I am setting up my first saltwater fish tank (in probably at least 20 years. I am pretty sure that I killed all the fish back then). I didn't want to kill any of the new fish that I was planning to acquire. So I called Advanced Aquatics the morning to ask a few questions. I initially spoke with Glenn (the owner). He was very patient with me as I asked my many questions (I feel that I need to highlight this point because I have dealt with other tropical fish stores where I was, to put it bluntly, treated quite rudely, almost - probably more than almost - as if I were a pest. And certain reviews will reveal that I was not the only one to feel this way with these particular businesses). Some time later that day a few more questions popped into my head. I called AA again. This time John answered. He told me that Glenn was busy at the momen

Glen and John have saved my systems design from disaster many time over with their knowledge, quality equipment and expert understanding of the hobby. My parts are "one and done" quality, never outgrown. The reference books well heeled and the top of the industry. Prices are a little lower than anywhere else.



I couldn't ask for more.
