I have been coming to import motors for Auto repairs since the early 90's. John and his well trained staff have been keeping my families car's in excellent running condition year after year. I recently bought a used car from him as well and I can't express how smooth and stress free the transaction was. They have wonderful customer service and are very honest, which is hard to find these days. They do wonderful work, and I will only send my repairs to this shop in the future. Don't hesitate to take your car to this shop for repairs and if your in the market for a used car, check here too.

RUN THE OTHER WAY! These guys don't know what they don't know.I brought in my 2004 Volvo for a window repair and timing belt. Re: The window: They installed the regulator with a sawed off screw and bolt and it broke one week later! The Volvo dealer could not believe it!Re: The Timing Belt: The timing belt comes as a kit with a rotor and tensioner, but they only replaced the timing belt!! The $550, plus tax, job was useless. i have to do it again!I even called to tell them that they also need to replace the tensioner. Their response was that "you only replace hydrolic, not mechanical tensioners." Actually, the exact opposite is true!Unfortunately, these well intentioned guys have no idea how to research the work they are performing. The back room of the shop looks like someone's garage, with a bunch of used parts lying on the table that they pick through...a very scary experience! If your car was repaired properly, it was a stroke of luck. The "big sell" they give everyone is

The biggest fear for anyone buying a car is "did I get a good car for my money". I was looking around for a mini-van last month and found a few that I was interested in. I went over to the other dealers that were close. After spending a few minutes with the sales guys I wanted out of there. I stopped in at Import(they do have all types of cars) and was greeted promptly. I had some basic concerns with purchasing a used car. I was assured that the warranty was part of the deal, and that all work completed on the car before I bought was shared with me as well. I got an awsome deal, and if anything goes wrong they said to bring it back in to take a look. Not to many places offer that on used cars. Thanks again guys

I had to get my brakes done and I always get 3 opinions before I make a purchase on car repairs. I went to the phone book to search for an auto place but went online to learn a little more. I chose Meineke, another business in Palatine and Import Motors for my estimates. Meineke was $400, the repair place in Palatine was $600 and Import Motors repaired my brake pads, and rotors for just over $250! They answered as many questions as I possibly had and showed me everything that was going on with the car that would need to be replaced in the future. I truly think Stan and John were the best and most honest car repair shops in the Northwest Suburbs and my family from Michigan is using their service when they come down to visit because of the great customer experience I had with them.

Provided by YP.comI brought my 03' Honda accord in last week for an oil change.I met john at the front desk and told him I was over due for an oil change. He asked if I could wait around and I said I was rather hungry. Immidiatly he said he would take me down the street so I could eat lunch while my car was being taken care of. While I was eating he called me and told me there were a few things I should know about my car that could save me some money in the long run of things.
John had one of his employees pick me up and bring me back to the shop, when we got there I was given the most detailed "rundown" of some things my car was in need of. Turned out that my fluids needed to be flushed, my tires needed rotation and a few other minor maintence issues. The greatest thing about my first visit was that I was treated like I had been going there for years. I know a little bit more about my car and have someone to call in case I have questions.
John and his staff really appreciated my business , which is why I will return for my cars checkups.

I recently had taken my car into a local dealer because I was hearing a popping like noise everytime I would hit a bump. The Dealership (Subaru) told me it was a bushing, and shocks that were creating the noise. I got an astronomical price of about $2000. to replace! I figured I would get a second opinion. So I figured why not a local shop because obviously the dealers were out of the price range I wanted to pay. I came here because they worked on Subaru's I found there website www.importmotorsinc.com on yelp I believe and figured I would go here. This gentlemen John helped me and I swear I walked away knowing more about cars then ever. He made me feel comfortable. Even better he took me into the shop and showed me what was wrong. I had a crack in the sway bar! Not to mention the price was about a third of the cost. These guys are great ecspecially with the economic hardships people are going through. He was honest and has got my business indefinitely! Great Work Guys!
