Founded in 1914, Hamilton Elementary School serves more than 450 students in prekindergarten through grade six. Its academic curriculum includes courses in several subjects, such as math, English, science, language arts, reading, writing, and social and global studies. The school offers sessions in arts and crafts and computer education and organizes various recreational activities. It also offers transportation and guidance and counseling services to its students. In addition, the school provides foreign language sessions in French, German, Spanish, Italian and Latin. Its sports activities include football, soccer, swimming, volleyball, tennis and golf. Located in Schenectady, N.Y., Hamilton Elementary School is a part of the Schenectady City School District, which serves more than 10,000 students in prekindergarten through grade 12 through its elementary, middle and high schools.
