Schererville Public Works delivers municipal services to the needs of the residents and businesses of Schererville. The department regulates the maintenance of bushes, trees and landscaping as well as trims branches and bushes that are not in compliance with Town Ordinance. It also operates ultralow-volume adult mosquito spray program in storm-catch basins, ditch lines and low-lying areas. The department also operates a sign shop which installs new signs, marks new streets, repairs damaged signs/signposts and paints crosswalks, street center and edge lines. Additionally, it produces custom sign legends which are used to mark special conditions and routes and removes illegal, unsightly sign postings from the roadways.
