Built in 1961, Rose Garden Elementary School is a learning center that features a cafeteria, gymnasium, library media center, sports field, computer and science laboratories, administrative offices, and art and music rooms. It supports an after-school care program that is sponsored by the YMCA. Rose Garden Elementary School is a part of the Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City Independent School District, which operates more than 15 educational institutions with a total enrollment of over 9,000 students. The school provides the English as a Second Language program and gifted and talented education classes. In addition, it provides membership to Communities in Schools, which is one of the largest student dropout prevention organizations in the United States. Located in Universal City, Texas, Rose Garden Elementary School serves nearly 400 students in prekindergarten through grade four.
