Overall they have been very accommodating and good to work with. I just wish they were open 24/7 because they are the best pet clinic around! Thanks!

Great Place for Great Care!!!

I have taken my dogs here multiple times for everything from their yearly wellness exams and vaccines to emergencies such as a snake bite on 1 of them and have no complaints what-so-ever. I have seen all 3 vets and each one of them cared about my dogs as if they were their own. I was greeted by the cheerful front staff as I walked in and the same attitude continued with the techs throughout the visit. I have been reading the reviews on here and I'm a little concerned that they are misleading. The prices are a little higher than other local vets but you ultimately "get what you pay for". Would you want to go to the cheapest doctor for your care, I don't think so...they are cheap for a reason, what are they leaving out so your bill can be cheaper? Your pets are your children and thats how the Schertz Animal Hospital staff treats them. If this is a problem, then this hospital probably isn't right for you. I highly recommend Dr. Rodriguez, Dr. Mossburg and Dr. Brandenberger to everyone who wants the "BEST" care for their "family" member.

Way to go!

About two years ago, I adopted an adult cat who was in pretty bad shape. She almost died on me in her first week at my house. I brought her to an all night emergency care center that charged me $80 just to open the door and let me in. She received plenty of treatment there but unfortunately was misdiagnosed at that facility. I then brought her to Dr. Rodriguez who correctly diagnosed and treated her ailment. To look at my kitty today, you would never know she had been so sick.

The treatment was incredibly expensive, but the fact that Dr. Rodriguez saved my baby's life made it worth it to me.

UPSELL/SCARE TACTICS

We took our dog there when he was vomiting (after opening a new bag of dog food). He was not lethargic and was still energetic and playful. THE STAFF/DOCTOR INSISTED ON DOING A COMPLET LINE OF TESTS for $250.00. They came back and the Dr, stated-"your dog is very sick and needs to be hospitalized". "We can treat his Pancreatitis/liver disease for about $1000.00." "It would cost you $2000.00 at an emergency clinic". These people are a bunch of SALES PEOPLE. The technician was coldfaced and just waiting to see how stupid I was. I did, however, follow through and have the tests repeated, at their prompting, again, 2 days later (like a fool!),although we refused to leave him overnight (had them inject fluids instead, which they won't tell you is an option! I know a little about vet medicine and some of the options. We paid a total of almost $600.00. I wonder if those tests were FAKED?! We never went back for another follow-up appointment (our dog was his old self the next day) (we threw out the dog food). Stay Away!!
