Don't be fooled by the owner's charming personality. I have used them for 2 separate projects (one shortly after the other because I trusted them) and they were both a disaster.



The first time was to do a concrete job in front of my house, including tearing up the old concrete and using new. I was told it would not crack in the next few years and if so it would be a barely noticeable hairline. Instead, 2 HUGE 5ft long, cm thick cracks have developed in less than 8 months! They also did not do everything they said they would do and demanded the full $ before the job was done.



That's not the worst part! My wife had a house in NJ that needed an addition removed, the inside of the house painted and a deck rebuilt. The deck was a complete disaster! It had 7 points that failed inspection and the inspector told me ver batum "Next time get a professional to fix it, don't do it yourself". Then when I told him we got a contractor, he was in shock! The work looked like it was from someone who had never picked up a hammer before! The inside of the house was painted nicely, however, within a few months the paint started cracking all over the house. They must have used the cheapest paint on earth. And when they removed the addition, they left a deep 4"wide 4" deep jagged groove in the outline of the concrete slab with no attempt to make it neat or presentable.



They also continually hounded you for their final payment before the work was done or inpection. Unfortunately, my wife was tricked into paying the final payment before inspection. Then to make matters even worse, when we called to mention our concerns they ignored us. And took over 2 months just to call back. Then when they did, they seemed mad at us for not being happy. They said give me the list of inspection failures and they will have a look at it. We gave it to them and they never even contacted us back or made any attempt to repair the shoddy work.



If you use SCS they will seem like they are your friend and are giving you a great price and are really your friend. Don't trust them! They will take your money and leave you with work your uncle could have done for much cheaper.
