Yesterday was my first time to eat at this restaurant and I was NOT impressed to say the least. My husband & I ordered a BBQ combo plate with brisket and turkey, which we shared. There was enough food for both of us. The sides of beans and potato salad were average. But the star, aka the meat, was NOT good at all. Neither tasted like any seasoning, including salt & pepper, had be applied. IF either meat had actually been smoked, we could NOT taste it whatsoever! The brisket was tender while the turkey left us thirsty due to its dryness. The BBQ sauce was lacking as well. The cashier asked how our meal was and when my husband politely told her, she only apologized. There was discount or coupons given to encourage us to return. She even asked where we were from. Both of us were born and raised in the Houston area. We've lived in Texas our entire lives and have eaten lots of BBQ. Therefore, in our opinion, this restaurant shouldn't have the word smokehouse in it's name. I'm not trying to be mean; I'm simply being honest.
