The Walton's Mountain Museum is a refreshing, peaceful, pleasant place to visit. There is no need to rush though the exhibits; there is much to see. I didn't know there were so many different Walton memoribilia. There is even a Waltons Board Game. Ane you can see a printed copy of the scripts from some of the Walton TV programs. Ike Godsey's general store is full of treasures! John Boy's bedroom, with his tyrwriter and glasses take you back to listening to John Boy read what he had just written And don't forget to peek into the Baldwin Sister's living room and fiew the still that proviced the county witih the famous "Recipe." Just a piece down the road you can walk through the Hamner House, where the Hamner family lived. Yes, the long table around which the family shared meals and prayers is there. One can almost see and hear Grandpa Walton ask a blessing as the family holds hands around the table... Who could ask for more?
