My Daughter was referred by pediatrician due to some neck issues. We were to meet woth a professional to be shown some additional stretches and become more comfortable performing them on my 4 month old . We were 10mins early for appointment. And weren't seen until 15 after due to the therapist chit chatting with another parent. She was in her socks and brought us to a dirty room with a gym mat. She was very rude when I mentioned I needed to change daughters diaper. She said I must take dirty diaper with me. Everything seemed fine after that as she got to know daughter. However she sat her up ob her bottom and daughter fell back on her head due to therapist named kim did not attempt to catch her. She bounced my daughter aroubd aggressively with my daughters head flopping. Then it was time for the stretches. My daughter started to cry (which is expected) but she continued to FORCEFULLY stretch my daughters neck. At this point she was clearly upset hyperventilating. She would not let daughter rest. Which is protocol for those kind of stretches. You are never suppose to forcefully stretch a baby if they are resisting and it is expected that you let them catch their breath. This was not the case. She continued to stretch and let my daughter cry for about five mins. And to top it all off she showed us a stretch using her FEET she had dirty socks on and touched my daughters face with them. As my daughter was upset I attempted to take her to comfort her and I was told she (kim) needed to teach daughter to become calm with her before giving her to me. I felt helpless as my daughter begged for my help and a stranger was keeping her from me. She finally passed her off after realizing I and my daughter were clearly upset. She said she was going to get me handouts to take home, and when she returned she would use the baby doll since my daughter was still upset. I had to walk out with my daughter before she returned. I was so uncomfortable. I feel she showed no professionalism and she could have showed me with the baby doll from the get go and maybe have ME practice with my daughter to let her be more comfortable. I'm very discouraged by her lack of professionalism and care for my daughter. I will never go to another physical therapist due to my negative experience. Also she never even introduced herself. I had to go on their website to figure out who she was.

I could have found everything she showed me on youtube! Also with the lack of care I wouldn't wish my worst enemy the experience I had. My daughter needed comfort not coldness from a stranger.

Provided by YP.comLike the previous reviewer stated...don't waste your time! Having moved here from out of state and coming from a great OT facility there, my son came here for OT for six months and didn't accomplish any of the basic goals they had set for him. Instead, they claimed that he had accomplished "goals" that he had already met before coming here! I decided that I could do a better job teaching him how to ride a tricycle and hold a crayon on my own and guess what? I DID! Our therapist was brand new, just out of school, and the owner was not good at answering my questions about the new therapist before we began services. The therapist was terrible at interacting with my three year old child. e.g., she would say, "Oh, you want to play with more playdough? Ok, after we do XYZ you can." Then at the end of "XYZ" she said, "Oops, we ran out of time. Maybe next week." Can you believe that?! What a way to mess with my child's head and undo all of the good behavior/reward techniques I have had so much success with! STAY AWAY!
