I am so disappointed with the unfair, unjust customer service we received today. I feel so taken advantage of from See Spot Shop and truly question their ethics as a business.

We called prior to taking our dog here and they quoted us $65, which we felt was fair and for us was worth the extra $15 that we'd pay at PetSmart to not have our dog sit in a cage for 4 hours. They called us about 1-2 hours after dropping her off and said that she would require "extra brushing" and that they were going to charge $1 a minute to brush her or they were going to shave her. We are totally against shaving our dog and truly felt backed into a corner and like we had no choice but to agree to it. They stated it would be $40 additional. While we were very unhappy about spending $105 to have our dog groomed, we'd rather pay the $40 extra than have our dog shaved.

4 hours went by and no one had called us to let us know she was done. I then drove to the store and asked if she was ready and was told it would be 10 more minutes. Although I'm wondering why no one called to let us know that, I don't worry about it, They then tell me that it will be $130 because "the brushing took longer than expected" and "they brushed her for over 60 minutes". Oh, and the Shampoo & Conditioner are an extra $5. Something they also did not disclose to us.

I felt so trapped and like we were completely taken advantage of. Brushing is of course subjective and we just had our dog groomed 4 weeks ago and she was not in poor shape at all. The manager then went on to share that "she was surprised I decided to not have my dog shaved as it is very painful for the dog to be brushed" insinuating that I was an unfit to take care of my dog!

This place truly is the reason why so many small boutique groomers have a bad reputation; they ruin it for all of the great ones.

Do not go here! This is a terrible business that makes their money of scamming hard working people!
