I'm retired, and relocated to Seaside about three months ago. I've made several purchases at the local Ace, but after Yesterday, Sunday, I will never return. On Saturday I purchased an item for $15.99. When I arrived home that afternoon I found it was the wrong one. I returned Sunday with the unopened item, however, I found I had lost my receipt. When I asked for a refund, the clerk said" How do I know you paid for the item? The receipt tells me how you paid". I told the clerk that this was BS. I told him to keep the item and the money. I'm a Veteran and have never before in my life been accused of stealing something. I work nearby part time, and I intend to tell everyone I know just how rudely I was treated. I will never go back to any Ace Hardware. BEWARE!!, Mike Clark
