Ask yourself this simple little question before walking through the door of this store. Do I really want to pay for overpriced, low quality furniture made in China? Your answer should be no. I purchased a Flexsteel leather sofa from Star Furniture that was made in China, but I was told it was made in the USA. Do some research if you plan on doing business here. The majority (90%) of the goods in this store are made in China. I recommend Robys furniture in Astoria - if it's quality at a fair price you expect.

If I could give Star Furniture a negative 5 stars, I would. This place is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. We purchased a couch from this location (despite finding it cheaper online) in order to support local business. Peter was extremely helpful and knowledgable and a large reason as to why we initially felt confident in purchasing with them. When returning to place our order, we met the store owner, Tracey. After listening to the owner rant about women not being as good as men and wishing they were, we reluctantly moved forward with the purchase.

The couch was in our home for less than 48 hours and the frame fell straight to the floor. Tracey was extremely rude about replacing the couch. He wanted to have his delivery guy, Nick, fix the frame in his garage rather than honor the warranty. We declined this option and requested the couch be replaced.

After waiting one month with a broken, useless couch, they set up a time to deliver the new couch. When they arrived to deliver the new couch, they refused to leave us the full new couch - they only replaced the frame and left us with the cushions from the broken couch. At this time, their delivery guy, Nick, broke a vase in our home and ran their delivery truck into our front tree, all while yelling inappropriate things about the fact that they should never have replaced the couch in the first place. Having placed a call to the owner, Tracy, he told us that this transaction was a pain in HIS ass and said that he was going to come to our home and remove the couch altogether.

ONE WEEK AFTER REMOVING THE BROKEN FRAME, THEY PUT THIS FRAME BACK OUT ON THEIR SHOWROOM FLOOR, WITH THE NEW CUSHIONS THAT THEY REFUSED TO GIVE US, TO SELL IT AS NEW. Chances are this is exactly what happened to us - we purchased a broken couch that they had already refurbished.

Avoid this business at all cost!

We have been customers of Star Furniture for many years. We purchased an Ashley bedroom set a few years ago and we love it! Recently we purchased a sectional couch and end tables. The end tables are great! They have built in USB and electrical outlets! We are currently remodeling our living room and we can't wait to purchase the beach theme furniture we picked out!
