Madrona Elementary serves more than 625 students in kindergarten through grade six. It has partnerships with several organizations, such as Des Moines Food Bank, The SeaTac Rotary Club and Alaska Airlines. The school has a parent-teacher organization that works in partnership with the school s principal and staff for its development. Madrona Elementary offers English Language Learners and dual language programs. The school s academic curriculum includes math, music, speech, and health and physical education. Madrona Elementary provides special education programs for children with developmental disabilities. It operates a library and offers medical and counseling services. The school is governed by Highline Public Schools, which serves more than 15,000 students in kindergarten through grade 12 through its several elementary, middle and high schools in the state of Washington.
