August 1, 1958, brothers Bob and Earl Green opened B & E Meats in Burien. At the time, there were probably 6 8 meat markets in Burien alone. Bob was 19 years old and Earl was 24. With hard work and youthful charm and energy, they quickly built a thriving business.April 1, 1975, Bob and Earl purchased an existing market (Ranch House Meats) in Des Moines and opened their second location, B & E Meats and Seafood. Although things started out slow, things did pick up and soon B & E became a landmark and one of Des Moines oldest and best known businesses.April 1, 1999, after nearly 40 successful years in the meat business, Bob and Earl retired. But the two markets stayed in the family and are now owned by Bobs son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Trisha Green. THE BEST SMELL IN SEATTLE

IF YOU WALK THRU THE DOOR WITH INHALING FIRST AND FOREMOST, THEN YOU HAVE NEVER STEPPED FOOT IN THE BEST MEAT MARKET IN THE CITY OF SEATTLE, THE BEST SAUSAGE LINK OR PATTY TO BE HAD....OTHER PREPARED MEATS, FRESH AS WELL.... YOUR SHOPPING FOR CHRISTMAS OR ANY OTHER TIME OF YEAR FOR THAT MATTER, YOU TABLE COMPLIMENTS WILL COME BY THE DOZENS WHEN YOU ROLL OUT THEIR MEATS ON YOUR BREAKFAST OR BRUNCH TABLE AT HOME....CANNOT GIVE YOU MY ADDRESS, IT IS FAMILY ONLY THIS YEAR, AS HAS BEEN OUR TRADITION FOR MANY YEARS....A&J'S IS ONE OF OUR LAST STOPS ON THE SCHEDULE !!!
