Provided by YP.comTony B and Francisco did an excellent job on replacing our very old furnace with a new one. They were prompt, courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, and very professional. It was a typical rainy day in Seattle and they took extra care in placing drop cloths or using shoe covers to keep my home and floors clean. They worked diligently to install the new furnace, were thorough and did a great job cleaning up. I will definitely be using them in the future and would highly recommend them to anyone who needs heating/AC service/installation.

Provided by YP.comChris C and Carlos did a great job on installing a new furnace for our house. I appreciate their efforts, seeing that the new furnace we picked, required much more intricate venting than anticipated. They had to move a large amount of items in our garage to get the new furnace installed and I appreciate all their efforts. They also helped us modify the amount of air flow going into one room that previously had too much air flow. I would highly recommend them for your next furnace installation.

Provided by YP.comTyler and his assistant came in a reasonable time and did a great job of replacing the very old existing furnace w/a much better one. He was careful, clean and left me with feeling everything was as it should be. He installed a new thermostat for me and was very patient explaining how it worked. He was polite and careful to answer my questions. I've worked w/Greenwood over the years and was not disappointed with this service.

Provided by YP.comReggie performed our annual service. He had great communication skills, technical knowledge, and seemed genuinely concerned that we had the information we needed to decide yes/no on repairs. Very efficient, did not dawdle.

Provided by YP.comBob D and Gerald introduced themselves and immediately began the process of installing the unit I purchased. They completed the installation in a timely manner. Bob is an extremely friendly and valuable employee of Greenwood. He was very knowledgeable in his field and was able to answer all my questions without hesitation. It was raining and muddy outside and he took special care in keeping my home and floors clean from start to finish. Both Bob and Gerald are top notch employees and I would highly recommend them to anyone needing heating/ac service/installation.

I have been using Greenwood to service my Rinnai water heater for the past 5 years and their service, knowledge and professionalism are top notch. They show up when expected - that alone seems to be incredibly rare in this industry. But there's much more! The technicians are loyal to the company and in my case, it has been one of the same 2 guys working on my heater every year. They fully explain every repair or maintenance task they are doing, they are respectful and personable, and no question is too silly. I agree with Abby S on this - both the technicians that have worked on my system explained how the heating system worked and what I could do as a homeowner to extend the life of my Rinnai. I appreciate honestly and service. These guys deliver - and then send you a hand-addressed thank-you card afterward.

n 2009 we purchased a Heat Pump. The machine works well and heats our home nicely. On Sunday Aug 5 2012, it was a scorcher in Seattle and beyond and we used the cooling part of our heat pump for the very first time. The house cooled well. Four hours into the first try of the pump, I went down stairs and heard water draining, After investigation, found a stream of water pouring out of my light socket and the carpet below was wet. My husband was gone, so contacted a friend to come over and help. He removed the light socket and found the ceiling was wet and had to place a hole in the ceiling. He removed the insulation and paper covering the condensation hose. After locating the hose he found it was disconnected and the water was pooling in the ceiling instead of being directed outside. He connected the tubing and the water was directed outside as it is supposed to be. I called the company, they came out and told me today Aug 7 2012 that they were not responsible as it was an existing tubing and they did not replace it. He stated it was over 20 years old. He stated he would replace the tubing but that was it. I told him that they should be responsible because after installing a 12,000 dollar piece of machinery they should have checked to see if all aspects of the pump was working including all existing materials that they did not replace. He said he would not pay for repairs.I feel that because they did not check to see if water from condensation was flowing through the existing tubing out doors, thus the reason for the water damage to our home. They should pay to fix what they did not do at the time of installation and also repair the damage to the ceiling including all insulation and carpet and clean up of the mess that was caused due to this issue!Sean the operations manager spoke with me regarding the issue, He was condensending, rude and when I told him that we would contact the Better Buisness Bureau or possible small claims court, He was not phased, I asked to speak to his Boss and he told me " I will tell him but do not guarantee the he will call back. This Company provided our home with a nice pump, but because they did not test if the cooling part was working, including all existing parts, we now face this repair job that I was not expecting. The fact that their moral compass failed, totally disapoints me. My advice to anyone that wishes to use this company? DONT look else where for a company that stands behind their work. This would not have happened if they checked to see that all parts were working properly!Shame on you Greenwood Heating and Air Conditioning, and SHAME on you SEAN for speaking to your Customers like they dont have a brain.

We just had to have our furnace replaced as it wasn't running properly and not worth repairing given that it was over 15 years old and the cost of the repairs was fairly expensive. Alan our technician at Greenwood gave me several quotes on different efficiency furnaces for us to consider as well as air conditioning. After receiving their quotes I contacted our local warehouse store as they were running a special on the same brand of furnaces at the time. I was really surprised when I got the quote for the same exact furnaces we were considering as the warehouse price was several hundred dollars higher than the price quoted by Greenwood. I also had another furnace company look at the existing furnace and he confirmed that it needed to be replaced. I never got a quote from him.The installation crew from Greenwood showed up right on time for the installation. They had called first to let me know that they were on the way. They were very friendly and showed me what was wrong with the old furnace after it was pulled out and then explained what they were doing during the installation of the new furnace. We decided to forgo the air conditioner due to the cost and given the few days of the year that it would be used. During the installation they needed to put in an electrical shut off switch and also installed an outlet for me because they thought I would find it handy to have one in that area. After the installation was complete the installers went over everything I would need to know about my new furnace and then walked me through programming my new electronic thermostat. They were very thorough. After they were finished they made sure that everything was all cleaned up before leaving. The next day I received a call from a technician at Greenwood asking to schedule a quality inspection of my installation. He came out the next day and did a complete inspection of the furnace as well as the installation. During the inspection he found an elbow in the furnace that he thought should be replaced and ordered the part while at my home and scheduled another visit to install it. He also asked if I needed any questions answered about the operation of the furnace or programming the thermostat. I also received a call from my service technician Allen making sure that everything went well with my installation and to see if I had any questions. A couple of days later I received a call from Greenwood's office following up to make sure that I was happy with their service.I am extremely happy with my service from Greenwood. I have used them for many years to service several furnaces and have always gotten excellent service. This was the first time that I needed to replace a furnace and it was gratifying to see that the same level of professionalism and quality service was evident for a new installation as well. I highly recommend Greenwood to anyone looking for annual service, repairs or replacement. Also Allen is great!

Came home from a 2 week vacation to find our furnace stopped working. Since I had been using Greenwood for sometime on annual maintenance. I called them in for a look. Yes heat exchangers cracked and could not restart by law. They immediately sent their rep, Brian, over. Very professional and gave me a bid for replacing 25 year old furnace and 12 year old water heater. I called in 3 others, with 2 being very high (one professional and one not). The 3rd was right in the same ball park price wise, but took him a week to finally "mail" me bid, a week after already installed (he told me he would send to me via e-mail the next day...not). Next day, picked Greenwood and the following day, techs arrived and in less than 6 hours they were checking me out on our new thermostat and super quite, more efficient furnace. Tech came back the next day due to a my "perceived" issue with hot water tank, but turned out the trickle/noise I heard was my upstairs condo owner. We marched up there and within 2 hours, Brian was there after tech called him to alert him of the condo owner's issues. Since his water heater needed replacing and all was same age as mine, owner decided to switch all out, for exactly what we put in. Two very happy condo owners. Brian was very professional, efficient, offered good customer service and immediate call backs, etc... All 4 techs involved were very professional, and respectful of our home (removed shoes, laid down floor protection, etc...) AND something not part of anyone else's bid, they went to the city of Kirkland to get the install permits (yes, even for these things, government gets their hands on some money). They even made an appointment for me to have both a follow up tech visit the next week to make sure all was working AND appointment with city inspector to come out. All went smooooth!!As for the other negative comments in here........ . Not sure why as it was a 180 from me. Sounds like Greenwood unfortunately had a bad apple rep/tech workign for them, that eventually got "caught" and let go. Not necessarily the fault of the company since they can't be with every employee 100% of the time.Would I recommend them to anyone? YES. Will I do business with them again?YesMarty

About a month ago during the snow storm that brought our fair city to a hault, my seventeen-year-old furnace decided to bite the dust. Not convenient! I called Greenwood Heating to see about getting a repair technician out (thinking no way would they come in the snow), but they did, and, double bonus they were early! Turns out the thing was blown out completely which I kind of thought might be the case due to the smell coming out of it. Kevin Morris came by later that day to talk about new furnace options. What a pleasant man. In fact EVERYONE I have dealt with at this company has been wonderful. The installers came (also, both wonderful!) they were here all day, cleaned up there mess, let me know what they were doing, etc. so there weren't any surprises. My husband and I are very happy with our new furnace! This company is sincere, they're personable and straight-ahead. It kind of reminds me of the way things "used to be". Obviously they have good management behind them.

Greenwood heating installed their recommended Lenox furnace which lasted 3 years and then broke. Had to be replaced at our expense. During that time, it had 2 leaks which we had to pay for. They then installed another furnace which has required 2 additional service calls since installation which we also had to pay for. If you want to spend a lot of money on service calls which never seem to be covered by warranty...call these guys. They're happy to take your money

They did a good job, so far so good. Everyone from Greenwood was very nice. I liked that the installer took the time to be very thorough when explaining the system to me.

I have used Greenwood for years and they have always been great. Our furnace broke on a cold day and they were out right away. It could not be repaired so they gave us space heaters for the night and replaced it the next day.

Had AC put in and during the summer the house would be at 80+ with the AC running when outside is at 85. They made a big deal when selling the system that it would perform well and handed me a contract signed with the promise on the temperature range. It promised temperature would be around 72 to 74. I've called several times as it' no where near this temperature range but they provided no resolution only saying it was a suggested performance rating. Called them for tune up on furnace, new UV bulb and repair of the pump for humidity system. I told them to bring the replacement UV bulb with them. When the tech arrived he did not know anything about the UV bulb replacement nor the humidifier water pump. Then they missed the crack on the pump (that is why I called them to replace it) and had to go in person to complain and get the replacement pump and picked up a new UV bulb.I'll never use them again.

Called today 12/10/09 when it is 19 degrees outside and our furnace broke - first available appt is 12/21. When I asked why they advertise 24 hr emergency service, I was told that meant after hours. So, if I call tonight at 8pm, someone can come eventually but they have scheduled their emergency person so they don't know when he'd be able to. False advertising to say you offer 24 hour same day emergency service when you really do not.
