I will not return to Greg's. I asked Greg's to evaluate a used Mazda I was looking at. They cahrged about $150 and found some minor things that needed to be repaired that cost an additional $130 or so, but gave the vehicle an otherwise clean bill of health.

A few weeks later the engine light came on. My wife drove into a local shop and we discovered the warning lamp was tellilng us that something was wrong with the onboard computer. It turned out that two inputs were not even connected to the computer. One for a heat sensor, resulting in a fan being On constantly, the other indicating that one of the catalytic converters has failed.

Greg's did not notice either of these two issues. But more significantly, they had never plugged into the diagnostic port of the computer, which is about the easiest thing they could have done, and certainly something I expected when I brought the car in for evaluation.
