Established in 1988, Northwest Tissue Services is the nonprofit, community-sponsored tissue bank. Based in Seattle, Wash., it offers patients with various types of programs, such as musculoskeletal program, osteoarticular program, cardiovascular program and fresh graft program, to name a few. Northwest Tissue Services (NWTS) is a department of Puget Sound Blood Center. The organization offers tissue donation services collaborating with hospitals, medical examiners, coroners, funeral homes, the State Patrol, regional organ and cornea programs, etc. The organization has partnership with hospitals and surgeons for providing better service to patients. The Tissue Services is an accredited member of the American Association of Tissue Banks.
