finally refunded

I wrote a previous review that Seattle Cycle Center wanted to charge me $240 dollars to mount a set of tires not purchased from their store. This amount is twice what I was quoted in November. I was not told of their unusual practice to charge more just because they did not provide the tires before I requested gift cards as a Christmas gift.Doug Micone was unwilling to wave this ridiculous fee but did offer to refund the gift certificates. I appreciate that he's done this but wish that it did not require that I write 23 reviews on various web sites and rally riders from all over for him to offer some semblance of customer service. I will be taking my business elsewhere for now on.I want to thank each and every one of you who called and emailed him to let him know how you felt. I would happily do the same for you if the roles were reversed. Gotta love the power of the internet

Charged twice as much to mount tires from else where!

In November I called and asked how much they charge to put on a set of tires. I was quoted $59 each. The lowest quote I got before calling them was $80 p/hr @ 1 and 1/2 hours total for two tires from Jim's Southend Cycle. I decided to ask for gift cards from Seattle Cycle Center and pay a couple bucks extra just because they're mechanic is a friend of a friend who had good things to say. They didn't bother to tell me it would cost more to have tires from some where else put on. I understand that they want to keep people from shopping else where but to charge (GET THIS) an additional $59 per tire is double what they quoted me! I'm not exaggerating either. $240 to put on a set of tires! They went from being what I thought was going to be the cheapest to actually being the most expensive. I refuse to ever buy tires or have them put on by these guys ever!

bike repair

I had an obscure electrical problem with my bike also a bad regulating rectifier. Dave, the repair guy, was able to track it down and get it fixed, and replace the rectifier. All at a very fair price. While they can sometimes get backed up on the repairs, particularly in the nice weather, if you want a guy looking after your bike who really seems to care, then, this is the place to go.

A New Rider

Being a new rider, I've been to several motorcycle shops in Seattle and felt very out of place or didn't feel like I received the best help. ###But several people in the MSF course told me go to Seattle Cycle Center , Doug and Lisa will be glad to help you.###So I went,###I was greeted at the door, asked if they could help and had my questions answered. Their staff was very friendly, but most of all they are very knowledgeable. Even the prices where close to shopping on line. ######I highly recommend Seattle Cycle Center.######kk
