Provided by YP.comI’ve been going to the Seattle Go Center for more than a year now and have been playing Go for 6 years. The Seattle Go Center is a great place to learn more about the game in depth. In most places Go clubs just meet up at coffee shops or IHOP, but here they have their own building open 5 days a week. Anyone under 18 is always free, and the first 10 visits for adults are free, after that you just buy 10 visit punch passes for $35(or less for college students!).
Tuesday nights are the best, open from 3pm to 10pm, averaging about a couple dozen people. There’s always plenty of boards and fellow members willing to teach newcomers. Tuesdays also have free fresh homemade bread, and they order pizza which you can buy slices of for cheap (They get cheese always but it’s great pizza!). Plus they have a kitchen where you can buy coffee, tea, soda, juice for 50 cents each. They have a large collection of books in English, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese. Members come from all walks of life speaking different languages and range from 5 years old to 80. Other days of the week have group teaching classes for a small fee. Saturdays are the second best days, open at 1pm. Everyone is really friendly and willing to help teach new people. Definitely check it out!!
